Four decades of probabilistic civil engineering
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 15th International Conference on Applications of Statistics and Probability in Civil Engineering (ICASP15), to be held in Melbourne, Australia from 12–15 December 2027.

ICASP15 continues a six-decade tradition of bringing together researchers and practitioners in civil engineering risk and reliability. We expect around 400 delegates from across the globe. The programme will feature keynote lectures, contributed research presentations, and workshops spanning the breadth of probabilistic methods in civil engineering — from structural reliability and natural hazard risk to infrastructure resilience, data-driven approaches, and a considered exploration of AI’s role in uncertainty quantification and decision-making. We are especially glad to support early career researchers and students, including through the CERRA student assistance programme, and to create opportunities to connect with colleagues from across the field.

We warmly encourage you to save the dates — 12–15 December 2027 — for a valuable and rewarding addition to the ICASP conference series.
Melbourne is consistently ranked among the world’s most liveable cities, and it makes a fine setting for a gathering of this kind. It is a city known for its food and its café culture, with restaurants drawing on cuisines from around the world and a lively arts, music, and bar scene. Galleries and theatres sit alongside a strong sporting culture — including the chance to experience the iconic MCG during the Australian summer of cricket. From the laneways of the city centre to the shores of Port Phillip Bay there is much to enjoy close at hand, while the surrounding region offers the wineries of the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula and the coastal scenery of the Great Ocean Road. With the long, warm days of early summer, December is also an ideal time to venture further and discover some of the continent’s one-of-a-kind attractions, such as Uluru in the Red Centre.
